By Ali Mustafayev – Trend:

Kazakhstan has exported 5,000 tons of wheat to Vietnam since the beginning of 2018, Kazakh media reported.

Kazakhstan has plans to develop the China-Europe route, as well as to increase the flow of goods through the border crossings of Khorgos and Alashankou, which is expected to expand its export potential.

The Lianyungang Sea Port in China will annually transport 150,000 containers from Kazakhstan. By 2020, the figures may increase to 500,000.

"Recently, we transported a lot of containers with grain from Kazakhstan to Vietnam and we intend to continue the work in this direction. We plan to increase the volume and quantity of cargoes from Kazakhstan. We can also carry out the logistics turnover of not only grain, but also beef and chicken meat from Kazakhstan to Southeast Asia, and fruits and berries from Asian countries to Kazakhstan. There is expectation to reduce the cost of transportation and, accordingly, the price of food products," said Liu Bin, the chief director of the Kazakh-Chinese logistics company.
