Russian food companies exploring Uzbek market

The capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, is hosting the 18th International WorldFood Uzbekistan 2018 exhibition on 4-6 April, Uzbek media reported.

According to the information, a total of 200 companies from 26 countries are participating in the exhibition, including Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, China, Latvia, the Netherlands, the UAE, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the USA, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, and Sri Lanka.

The main goal of the exhibition is to promote the work of the 2016-2020 food industry development program in Uzbekistan, as well as the demonstration of innovations in the production of food and beverages, their processing, the latest technologies, production, packaging and export opportunities.

It was reported earlier that one of the largest Russian wholesale companies, AyBaRus, specializing in export-import operations with fruits, presented its products at the exhibition and plans to enter the Uzbek market in the future.
