Taking into account the great variety of agricultural products and extraction of precious metals in Iran's Zanjan province, new opportunities have been created to ensure large scale exports from Zanjan airport to Russia and the Gulf countries, the head of Zanjan airport Mohammad Ghasimi said, Trend reports via Iranian media.
He noted that, compared to road transport, exporting goods by air transport significantly reduces both the expenses and the time spent during the transportation. Ghasimi further added that the Zanjan airport doesn't lack lanes needed for exports.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the official noted that, a cargo terminal can be constructed within the airport, which requires investments.
