Tehran, Iran, Aug.2

Trend:

Iran's motorcycles are exported to countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan, Head of Iran Motorcycle Sellers Association Mohammad Khadem Mansouri said, Trend reports citing YJC.

Speaking of Indian motorcycles that were to be imported to Iran, he said that the local factories are facing lack of spare parts.

"If the problem is solved, then manufacturers would have enough of local production, and there won't be any need to import these vehicles anymore," he said.

Referring to electric motorcycles production in Iran, he said that such motorcycles have been in production in the country for 5 years already.

"Unfortunately, due to a lack of service, especially in terms of battery charging, there has been a lack of enthusiasm for them,” he said. "The situation, we hope, will change since we're going to provide post-purchase services to such bikes with the government's help."
