Iran's fund signs protocol on co-op with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Innovation Development

Iran Export Development and Technology Transfer Fund has signed a protocol on cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Innovation Development, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The protocol was signed within the visit of Iranian delegation to Tashkent.

On December 11, an exhibition of Iranian manufacturers opened in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. It is attended by more than a hundred foreign companies and entrepreneurs. The Iranian delegation is led by Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPO) Hamid Zadboum.

"Iran has a very developed science, and our businessmen are interested in multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan in this field. Iranian companies that arrived in Tashkent are mainly willing to develop cooperation in the chemical, mining, agricultural, IT sectors, as well as in the field of hi-tech," CEO of the Iran Export Development and Technology Transfer Fund Mehrdad Amani said.

According to him, Iran buys beans, wheat and other agricultural products in Uzbekistan, and in exchange shares various technologies with Uzbekistan.

Amani added that representatives of the two countries will try to create joint ventures.
