Azerbaijan’s exports of finished textiles amounted to $16.7 million in the first 10 months of 2020, having decreased by 9 percent or $1.65 million compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
According to the SCC, the share of the mentioned products in total exports of Azerbaijan reached 0.14 percent, while a year earlier this figure was equal to 0.11 percent.
“At the same time, imports of finished textile products increased by $21.5 million or 79.1 percent over the year and amounted to $48.7 million. The share of these products in Azerbaijan's total imports amounted to 0.56 percent, having increased by 0.32 percentage points year on year,” said the SCC.
From January through October 2020, the volume of foreign trade turnover of finished textile products amounted to $65.4 million, which is 43.6 percent or $19.85 million more compared to the same period of 2019, said the report.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in 10M2020 amounted to more than $21 billion, which is 25.7 percent less compared to 10M2019. Of these, over $12.2 billion or 58.25 percent accounted for exports, and the remaining $8.8 billion or 41.75 percent - for imports.
