An arrangement dedicated to the memory of Azerbaijan's Al-Nation Leader Ex-President Heydar Aliyev timed for the third anniversary of his death has been held in the State Customs Committee of the Country today, Trend eports referring to the Committee.
Having given a speech during the arrangement, Aydin Aliyev, Chairman of the Committee, said that despite the fact that three years had passed since the day when Heydar Aliyev had passed away, he remained and will forever live in the memory of Azerbaijani nation. Heydar Aliyev was a wise man. He founded modern Azerbaijan and this country will continue to achieve great adherents in the future, pointed out the Chairman of the State Customs Committee.
Participants of the event honoured the memory of late Ex-President with a minute of silence. Then Nizami Jaffarov, a Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament delivered a speech where he told about the life and the role of Heydar Aliyev in founding independent Azerbaijan.
