Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 January / Trend corr S. Aliyev / Presently, Azerbaijan receives some 7mln cu m of gas every 24 hours from its underground gas-holders, the Government reported on 17 January. A total of 12-13mln cu m of gas is daily consumed in the country.
In 2007, over 1bln cu m of gas was pumped into the underground gas-holders. The gas is intended to be supplied to subscribers in the autumn and winter of 2007-2008. Some 1.024bln cu m was pumped into the gas-holders for 2006-2007.
There are two underground gas-holders in Azerbaijan, the Garadag and the Kalmaz.
