Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 January / Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to provide 6,000 oilmen with the dwelling, Chanangir Aliyev, the head of the Republican Committee (RC) of the Trade Union of the Workers in the Oil and Gas Industry said in his interview with the newspaper Vishka.
"The house-building rates will rise by eight times," the head of the committee said.
According to Aliyev, in line with the Program on Social Development for 2007-2010, approved by the SOCAR and RC, 300 bln manat will be allocated for the house-building.
The program also includes the repair and the construction of the dormitories, sports grounds and the purchase of the passenger ships, buses and helicopters.
At present the staff of SOCAR totals to 60,000 people.
