Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 March / Trend corr S. Babayeva/ The outline program for the international conference, which is expected to take place within the 15th international exhibition Caspian Oil and Gas-2008, has been defined. According to Iteca Caspian, the organizer of the exhibition, the conference ' The Caspian Region: Rising Role of Azerbaijan in Oil and Gas Exploration' will take place in Baku on 4-5 June.
On the first day, the conference will discuss strategic development of the Caspian region, exploration and production in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, international cooperation and investments in Azerbaijan, Caspian oil and gas trade, the rising role of Turkmenistan, cooperation with China, the trade via the Georgian ports, energy security and stability in the region. The participants of the conference will also discuss transportation of the oil and gas resources of the Caspian Sea.
The official support to the exhibition and conference will be provided by the Industry and Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
