Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 June / Trend / Turkmenistan President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammad received Rovnag Abdullayev, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) on 19 June, the Turkmenistan State Information Agency (TDH) reported.
The sides exchanged the opinion regarding the possible and prospectus directions in mutual beneficial cooperation in the economy of the both countries, which have huge hydrocarbon, fuel and energy reserves, in particular, in the oil sector. In this connection the mutual beneficial issues on the Caspian Sea was also touched upon, TDH reported.
Speaking about the interest of Azerbaijan to establish business and long term contacts with Turkic partners, Abdullayev said that the Turkmenistan President's visit to Azerbaijan and relevant agreements, reached as a result of negotiations, gave strong impulse on intergovernmental interactions including the oil and gas sphere.
Abdullayev also touched upon the significance of the international conference 'Oil and gas in Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan', which will be held in Baku with participation of representatives of largest world companies, international financial and investment organizations.
