'Azerbaijani railway' CJSC transported 10 million tons of oil-loading cargo in 2009 or 26 percent less than the same index of 2008, CJSC said.
In total, CJSC transported 20.66 million tons in 2009 compared 27.4 million tons in 2008.
"Total amount of cargo transportation hit 20.66 million tons in 2009 or 75 percent of the index in 2008," a source said.
He said much reduction is observed in internal cargo transportation.
There is no reduction in cargo transportation via railway as a result of 2009. In 2009, CJSC transported 6.43 million passengers. This index is rather similar with the index of 2008, a source said.
