Azerbaijan exported 3.63 million tons of crude oil to Italy from January through March 2021, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, the value of crude oil exports from Azerbaijan to Italy over the reporting period amounted to $1.35 billion.
“In the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijan exported over 7.04 million tons of oil, which is 7 percent less compared to the same period of 2020. In monetary terms, oil exports amounted to $2.66 billion, having dropped by 24.3 percent over the year. The share of Italy in exports from Azerbaijan amounted to 51.5 percent,” said the report.
The import of Italian products to Azerbaijan in 2020 increased by 7.3 percent compared to 2019. The export of Azerbaijani products to Italy in 2020 amounted to $4.17 billion, which is 25 percent less compared to 2019. Last year, the volume of foreign trade operations of Azerbaijan and Italy amounted to $4.56 billion, which is 24 percent less compared to 2019.
