Project on Iranian gas transportation via the territory of Azerbaijan will be always kept in mind, the Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Zurab Gumberidze, told Trend.
Gas transportation was implemented this winter as a result of emergency situation in Georgia due to incident in the gas pipeline, whch delivers gas from Russia, he noted.
If any necessity and opportunity arises in future, Iran and Georgia will be ready to implement the project. At present Georgias demand in gas in no less than 3 billion cu m a year. However, following increase in the consumption in the neatest 2-3 years the demand will increase to 3 billion cu m.
