During the 13 July ceremony of opening Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, on BTC-Toren-Alani square the Golden pipe will be welded to the last string of the pipeline, Trends special correspondent reports with reference to the ceremony organization committee.
The ceremony starts 1100AM local time and lasts until 200PM.
BTC pipeline is capable of transporting over 1mln bbl of oil a day to the world markets. Most oil via BTC will be transferred via Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field. In 2008-2009 oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will be pumped via BTC as well.
