In the near future, the drilling equipment Apsheron will be replaced in a new drilling point in the south part of Western Apsheron Trend reports quoting the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). The new pint is intended to be located 1 600 meters from previous one. The drilling will begin in the near future.
It is implied to drill five wells in the new point. All of them are intended for exploitation.
Presently, the drilling in this part of the field is realized through drilling equipment Khazar-7. It drills the second well in the field. The project depth of the well equals 820 meters. Generally it is intended to drill five wells with this equipment. These wells are envisaged for operation.
According to SOCAR, open fields are effective for development. It is justified through the issue that they are located away from the coast and communications for oil transportation. Presently contouring and assessing the reserves in this part of the field is being carried out. The wells are 800-1000 meters in depth.
SOCAR intends to install producing platform in the southern part of Western Apsheron. According to the assessment of specialists, approximately 1,5 million tons of fuel of recoverable reserves are located in the field.
