Azerbaijan, Baku /corr Trend S.Aliyev / The Azerbaijani Government announced that in 2007 energy production in Azerbaijan is forecast to increase by 5%.
In 2006 Azerenerji generated over 23.8bln KW/h of electricity, 1.5bln KW/h more than 2005.
This year a new module power grid will be put into use in Baku. At the end of the year there are plans to finish the construction of a gas-steam device in Sumgayit
Last year the company commissioned several new generating capacities, including four module power stations and two power grids in the Nakhchivan Autonmus Republic. The renovation of existing devices also resulted in an increase of production.
