Azerbaijan's GDP increases YTD

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15

Azerbaijan's GDP has increased from January through June 2021, Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, over the specifying period, the country's GDP reached 31.5 billion manat ($18.5 billion) rose by 2.1 percent compared to the first half of 2020.

“At the same time, value-added in the oil and gas sector decreased by 4.7 percent, while in the non-oil sector - increased by 5.1 percent,” the committee said.

In the first six months of this year, GDP per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 3,987.6 manat ($2,345.6), showing annual growth of 1.6 percent.

The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan predicts the growth of the country's GDP in 2021 at 3.4 percent.
