The loan portfolio of banks increased by 18.2 percent in Azerbaijan in February 2022 compared to February 2021, exceeding 17.2 billion manat ($10.1 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
The loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 14.6 billion manat ($8.6 billion) in February 2021.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 97.3 percent of loans accounted for banks while 2.7 percent for the non-bank credit organizations and credit unions in the structure of the loan portfolio in February 2022.
The amount of overdue loans for the year decreased by 21.5 percent to 706.6 million manat ($415.6 million) and amounted to 4.1 percent of the total loan portfolio.
