S.Babayeva / The number of subscribers of the Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) exceeds 3,000 people in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of Azerbaijan, Rovshan Mammadov, Azerbaijani Communication and IT Minister, said during the conference Regional innovation zones in Baku.
The system was set up to satisfy the mobile demand of poor population. The system covers 70% of NAR's territory. There are 12 base stations with total capacity of 10,000 numbers.
The test work on introduction of the wireless Internet system has been launched.
