Turkey is creating a new money transfers system, which will be launched to carry out transfers with Azerbaijan for the first time, a source in the Azerbaijani postal communications market told Trend, Aug. 21.
According to the source, the Turkish side is engaged directly with the development of the money transfer system, while Azerbaijan provides advisory services and gives its recommendations for the project.
“Currently, different money transfer systems are used between the two countries. The implemented project envisages the creation of a fundamentally new system of money transfers that meets the international standards. It is initially intended for the use between Turkey and Azerbaijan. The system could be extended to other countries in the future,” said the source.
Certain results will be achieved on the project by the end of 2017, added the source.
