Azerbaijan’s postal operator Azerpost LLC has started to issue another batch of Mastercard debit cards, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies said in a message Feb. 1.

A new batch of cards supports Mastercard contactless payment technology.

Anyone can become a holder of such cards. Interested individuals may apply to Azerpost customer support centers to receive these cards by presenting an identity card.

The annual cost of servicing cards for legal entities and individuals is 10 manats, for two years - 18 manats, for three years - 24 manats.

The annual cost of card maintenance for employees of the companies that have partner relations with Azerpost is eight manats, for two years - 15 manats, for three years - 21 manats.

Azerpost LLC renders postal and financial services to the population in Azerbaijan. The company has more than 1,500 branches across the country.

Azerpost LLC started to render financial services in 2012 in line with a license of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. Azerpost issued over 23,000 active payment cards. Azerpost has 15 ATMs and more than 100 POS-terminals.
