E-commerce platforms registered on social networks will be offered a new method of receiving payments, a source close to the project told Trend.
The new method makes it possible to pay for purchases directly from social network accounts.
"To pay for a purchase, you only need to click on the product link and the funds will be transferred to the seller’s account. The launch of the new method of accepting payments can be accelerated if registration of a merchant account is simplified," the source said.
Presently, registration of a merchant account in Azerbaijan is carried out by several banks, and the procedure is delayed for two or three months, not considering the bureaucratic procedures that entrepreneurs face, the source said.
Initially, the project is planned to be implemented with Visa International, and later in the future with MasterCard as well.
