“The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has remitted 55.3bn manats to the public budget in 2005, over-fulfilling the forecasts by 22.3%,” Rashad Nabiyev, the head of the Finance and Registration Division of the Ministry, told a corporate meeting
held on Saturday on the results of January to June of 2005.
According to Nabiyev, in January to June the Ministry transferred 16.8bn mantas to the State Fund for Social Security against the target of 15.3bn manats.
Over the first 6 months of 2005the Ministry invested 44,959bn manats (approx. $9.6m) in the information technologies sector, which was spent on the construction of new telephone lines and reconstruction work in the capital and regions.
A total of 419 new jobs opened within the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies in the first half-year of 2005, as official statistics.
