State Committee for Defense Industry of Uzbekistan is developing a light armored vehicle, Trend reports with reference to the Committee.
“In order to equip the national army with modern weapons of domestic production, the State Committee for Defense Industry together with one of the country's leading enterprises in the production of special equipment Kran Va Maxsus Texnikalar LLC is producing a prototype of light armored vehicle Tarlon (4×4),” the message said.
The armored car is being designed for transporting personnel, performing special tasks in high-risk areas, and protects the crew and landing troops from bullets and explosions.
The protection class will comply with the CIS interstate standards and NATO’s STANAG agreement. The vehicle will run on diesel.
