BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 137.3 billion tenge ($287.3 million) from January through June 2022, which is 44.1 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in June 2022 amounted to 33.1 billion tenge ($69.2 million), which is 74.9 percent more than during the same period of 2021.

The volume of cargo, luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 1.3 billion tons, which is 0.8 percent less compared to the same period of last year (246.1 million tons in June 2022, down by 10.4 percent year-on-year).

Cargo turnover amounted to 64.1 billion ton-kilometers which is 2.6 percent less than during the same period of last year (11.4 billion in June 2022, a decrease of 8.5 percent).

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 55.1 billion tenge ($115.3 million) over the reporting period of 2022, which is 21.5 percent more than during the same period of last year. June revenue from passenger transportation was 10.4 billion tenge ($21.9 million), which is 20.5 percent more compared to June 2021.

The number of transported passengers amounted to 3.3 billion people, which is 12.9 percent more than during the same period of last year (578.3 million passengers in June 2022, up by 0.3 percent).

The passenger turnover amounted to 35.8 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 13.6 percent.

The passenger turnover in June was 6.1 billion (2.3 percent more year-on-year).
