BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. Zangilan International Airport will become the logistics center of East Zangazur economic region, Adviser to the Director-General of Azvirt LLC Jeyhun Safarov told Trend.
According to him, the runway of Zangilan International Airport can receive any type of airplanes designed for both passenger and cargo transportation.
"The airport terminal can receive 200 passengers per hour. I also want to note that Zangilan International Airport meets the requirements of International Civil Aviation Organization and International Air Transport Association. The length of the airport's runway is 3,000 meters, and width is 60 meters," Safarov said.
The opening of the Zangilan International Airport took place on October 20. The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
