Some 19 memoranda worth about $1.7 billion have been signed at the International Investment and Tourism Forum "Ancient Turkestan – New Opportunities", held in the city of Turkistan, the press service of the Governor of Turkestan region reported.

In particular, the agreements have been signed between the Governorate of Turkistan and investors from Iran, Turkey, Czech Republic, Russia, UAE, Malaysia, Italy, Poland, China,

The Governor of Turkistan Zhanseit Tuimebayev has signed a Memorandum with the Iranian company "Ardabil Petrochemical Co" for a total amount of $205 million.This agreement involves the construction of an Oncology center and a plant for the processing of petroleum products.

In addition, an agreement has been signed with the Chinese company "Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited", which intends to invest $ 648 million in the production of power plants and products. At the same time, the “Green Land Alatau” LLP and Russian investors intend to invest $ 180 million in the construction of the greenhouse complex.

At the same time, during the forum, a Memorandum with the Chinese company Shanghai Lianfu New Energy Science & Technology Group on the construction of a plant for the production of electric buses on solar batteries in the amount of $340 million has been signed.

Moreover, a Memorandum worth $100 million has been signed with the Turkish company "Dogus Insaat ve Ticaret", which intends to implement a number of projects in the field of infrastructure. In addition, the Iranian company "Faradid Meehan" plans to invest $5 million in the construction of a brick factory.

Also, in the framework of the International Investment and Tourism Forum, a Memorandum in the amount of $100 million, has been signed with a Malaysian company for the implementation of major projects in the field of industry and infrastructure. At the same time, the representatives of the Turkish Corporation "Sallyr Bey Group" are ready to develop sheep breeding in the region and to build a commercial farm worth $ 15 million.

In addition, the Chinese investors plan to invest $ 50 million in the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 50 megawatts, and the Czech organization "AGRAS zelatovice a.s" has expressed interest in the implementation of the project for the production of sorghum syrup. The cost of construction of this plant is estimated at $20 million.

Also a Memorandum worth $17 million on the construction of a plant for the production of high-quality expanded clay with the joint Kazakh-Italian enterprise "Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund " has been signed at the forum, and the domestic "VMS" company intends to invest $1.5 million in projects in the field of tourism in the Turkestan region.

Following the forum, a Memorandum of cooperation on the construction of a plant for the production of vehicles worth $20 million has been signed with the "Chery Commercial Vehicle" company. In addition, the Chinese company "Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan" expressed its intention to establish cooperation on "Smart city" projects and to invest $ 10 million in these projects.

At the same time, the Russian Eurasian Bank is ready to cooperate in the field of investment projects, and the "Al-Masood" company from the United Arab Emirates is investing in the development of the tourism industry.

In the near future, the foreign companies will begin their work in the territory of the Turkestan city and the rest of the region, which in turn will raise to a new level the development of agriculture, infrastructure, tourism and light industry, as well as will contribute to the creation of new production facilities and jobs.
