Uzbek diplomats discussed issues of Uzbek-Cuban cooperation with the Cuban ambassador to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow Juan Valdes Figueroa on Friday, Uzbekistan's Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
According to the Foreign Ministry, at a meeting held at the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the sides confirmed mutual interest in further intensification of relations, expanding experience of cooperation in international structures to other spheres.
The meeting emphasized that one of the promising directions of deepening relations is intensifying contacts between the two countries' legislative bodies.
A significant untapped potential contributes to the development of trade and economic relations, in which the relevant structures of Uzbekistan and Cuba are interested.
Cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation in health and tourism are of important interest.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
