The Uzbek Uzcharmsanoat association plans to open brand stores in Azerbaijan in 2022. The head of the department of the association Shukhrat Aliyev told Trend.
“Uzcharmsanoat has already received an offer to open brand shops in Azerbaijan,” Shukhrat Aliyev said.
According to him, leather and footwear products of Uzbekistan are in high demand in Azerbaijan.“In 2021, leather and footwear products worth more than $100,000 were exported to Azerbaijan,” Shukhrat Aliyev stated.
In addition, the head of the department said that Uzcharmsanoat also intends to open a trading house in Azerbaijan.“We plan to sign agreements with trade organizations of Azerbaijan and open a trading house here,” Aliyev said.
Uzcharmsanoat is the association which engaged in the production of clothing, leather and footwear, as well as the processing of fur and wool.
According to Shukhrat Aliyev, the association is engaged in the production of all types of footwear, including specialized footwear for the oil, medical and other spheres.
“Over the past year, the association has exported products worth more than $400 million, mainly to the CIS countries and Europe,” Aliyev stated.
According to the head of the department, Uzbekistan's leather products are mainly exported to China and Russia.
