(Mediamax) вЂ" “Georgia and Azerbaijan don’t have moral right to put fund in the construction of the Gars-Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi railway,” Vardan Oskanian, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated in Yerevan.

“There is the Gars-Gumri railway, and we regard inexpedient to put limited international and internal financial resources in the construction of new highway,” he explained.

Oscanian noted that the Gars-Gumri railway did not function due to incorrect policy of Turkey. “I would like to remind that Armenia stated about its readiness not to use initially the Gars-Gumri railway and launch it particularly for transit transportation between Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan,” he stressed.

Oscanian underlined that Armenia will struggle with the construction of the Gars-Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi railway convincing international donors, particularly, the European Union and the United States.

“It’s impossible to frighten us by this and other regional projects. Even if the Gars-Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi railway is constructed, Armenia will not disappear from the world map. We will continue our forward development,” he underlined.
