Iran's Bazargan border exports value up by 55%

The value of Iran's exports through the Bazargan customs in the Iran’s north-western West Azerbaijan Province has increased by 55 percent during the 10 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Sadegh Namdar, head of the Bazargan Customs Office in West Azerbaijan Province, told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Namdar, this increase has been in comparison with the same period last year.

Namdar added that 141,000 tons of products worth $104 million were exported through the Bazargan customs.

"The exported products mainly consisted of construction materials," he said.

Stating that 79,000 trucks have transported various export products to Asian and Central Asian countries from the Bazargan border during the past 10 months, Namdar said that 1,44 million tons of products of other customs points worth $1,92 billion were exported via the Bazargan customs during this period.

A quarter of all Iran's border customs are located in West Azerbaijan. The province has 5 customs points.

Bazargan customs point is one of the 3 major border trade areas between Iran and Turkey.
