Iran Foreign Ministry summoned Pakistani ambassador Asif Khan Durrani two days after unknown gunmen attacked Iranian border guards and killed ten people, the Ministry’s official website reported Apr.28.

Ten border guards have been killed in an ambush by terrorist in southeastern Iran along the country’s border with Pakistan, Apr.26.

Jaish al Adl (the Army of Justice) undertook the responsibility of attack, putting the number of killed Iranian borders at eleven.

The incident took place near the town of Mirjaveh in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan-and-Baluchestan.

According to the report, the border guards were patrolling along the frontier area when the incident took place.

Jaish al Adl Group, dwelling in Pakistani territories, has been behind several armed attacks on Iranian security forces in the southeastern regions of the country.

The militant group claims that is has took up weapon to defend what it describes as the rights of Sunni minorities.

Back in 2014 Jaish al Adl abducted five Iranian border guards including four soldiers who were serving their mandatory military service.

According to the IRNA report, Iranian president Hassan Rouhani also submitted a letter to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, saying that "repeated attacks from terrorist groups in Pakistan on Iranian army forces raised concerns in Tehran".

He called Pakistani government to take measures against them and neutralize terror groups.
