Upon the draft public budget of 2011, the financing of the Defence Ministry of Georgia will decline by 85 million lari ($1 = 1.76 lari). This statement was made by deputy finance minister Papuna Petriashvili before a meeting of the parliamentary committee on defence and security.
According to him, 660 million lari will be allocated to the Defence Ministry, which is 85 million lari less as compared to the current year.
As for the Georgian Interior Ministry, its budget will total 566 million lari. The draft public budget in 2011 was considered today at a meeting of several parliamentary committees.
