According to the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Colonel Irakli Dzneladze, the electoral process in the armed forces takes place without interferences.

The electoral process in the armed forces takes place without interferences, Chief of the Joint Staff of Georgian Armed Forces, Colonel Irakli Dzneladze said.

According to him, the soldiers at different military bases began voting from 08:00 in the morning.

Dzneladze said at a briefing that the Ministry of Defence is helping the Georgian Central Election Commission to the maximum extend to ensure that no requirement of law was violated.

Colonel Dzneladze underlined that all soldiers have the opportunity to make their choice, without any obstacles.

On Sunday some 30 per cent of Armed Forces staff will vote at the special polling stations and 70 per cent in the place of residence.

Soldiers in Afghanistan voted in the election last Sunday.
