( AP ) - Police say a car bomb has killed two people and wounded 20 in the northwestern Pakistan city of Mardan.
Senior police official Akhbar Ali Shah says some of the injured have been hospitalized in serious condition following the early Friday attack.
Shah says the bomb went off in a car near a police station in Mardan. He says one police officer and one civilian were killed.
Shah has declined to speculate who was responsible for the attack.
There have been no bombings in Pakistan linked to Islamic militants in the past month since a new government was sworn in.
