Minsk to host international forum of specialists in Russian language

International forum of specialists in the Russian language "Modern linguistics and literature in CIS: dialogue between theory and practice" will be held in Minsk on November 10-12, BelTA learnt in the press center of the Belarusian Education Ministry.

The goal of the forum is to expand the scientific and pedagogical cooperation in the modern linguistics and literature education, to strengthen cultural ties, to intensify the dialogue between specialists in the Russian language of the CIS member states.

Attending the forum will be scientists and university professors from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. They will take part in the work of six sections. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Belarus Alexander Surikov, Education Minister of Belarus Alexander Radkov, Director of the National Education Institute Gennady Palchik, Director of the Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas Institute of Language and Literature of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences Alexander Lukashanets will make reports at a plenary session of the forum.

The participants of the forum will consider the communicative linguistics and communicative methods of language teaching, functional-semantic and culturological approaches of the language education, the active forms of language and literature teaching at the school and university, rhetorical culture of the personality: innovation technologies and methods of formation, the up-to-date training methods of the Russian language and literature at the school and university, the problems of teaching the Russian language as a foreign language, theoretical and historical poetics of literary works and other issues.

The national rhetorical contest among Belarusian students will be held within the framework of the forum.

The forum will be organized by the Belarusian Education Ministry and the Russian Embassy in Belarus.
