Seven Killed in Two Blasts in Helmand Province

Afghanistan, Kabul, 13 November / corr Trend A.  Hakimi / In two separate explosions four policemen and three civilians have been killed and three wounded in Helmand province, said an official.

Col. Asadullah Sherzad, police chief at police headquarters, told media that the blast was a suicide attack, killing two policemen and three civilians.

According to Sherzad, another remote controlled bomb exploded on the main Herat-Kandahar Highway, killing two policemen and wounding three.

However, a Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi has claimed the responsibility. The attack carried out on a NATO convoy in Nahr-i-Saraj District of the province, he said.

He claimed that the blast killed nine foreign soldiers which were rejected by ISAF spokesperson and destroyed two vehicles of foreign soldiers.
