Russian spacecraft launch delayed due to bad weather

For the first time in history the launch of a Russian spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) has been postponed on Wednesday due to bad weather conditions, Xinhua reported.

"The launch of the Progress M-07M spacecraft, which was scheduled for 03:11 p.m. Moscow time (1111 GMT) today has been moved to Sept. 10," said a source from the Kazakh Baikonur space center as quoted by the Itar-Tass news agency.

The delay was caused by strong wind, said the source.

The Progress M-07M cargo spaceship is to deliver to the ISS more than 2.5 tons of supplies both for the station and the crew.
