( Civil Georgia ) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin met UN Special Representative in Georgia Jean Arnault in Moscow to discuss the issues of Abkhaz conflict resolution, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
"The sides expressed concern over the unfavorable situation in the conflict zone and absence of progress in implementation of confidence building measures," the Russian Foreign Ministry said adding that the sides also stressed the key role of Russian peacekeepers and UN observers in the conflict resolution process.
