BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. The Moscow authorities will continue to work together with the Russian government to develop additional measures to support the economy, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his personal blog, Trend reports via TASS.
"Many of these decisions, I hope, will be announced this week," Sobyanin noted.
He also said that presently the Moscow government has the right to manage the budget and public procurement as flexibly and efficiently as possible.
According to him, the management measures include extension of the deadlines for paying taxes, contributions, fees and advance payments; financing of anti-crisis measures in excess of the approved amount of spending in the law on budget; transfer of funds from one budget item to another; urgent purchases for government needs, including from a single supplier.
"So far, unemployment is at a minimum level - 0.4 percent of the economically active population. At the same time, more than 300 foreign companies announced the termination of their activities in Moscow,” the official pointed out. “Some didn’t make such statements, but suspended their activities due to disruptions in the supply of components and raw materials.”
“Now our task is to help employees of foreign companies," added Sobyanin.
