7 terrorists killed in southeast Turkey
Seven PKK terrorists were killed in airstrikes Monday in Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari, the military said, AA reported.
Three targets in Yuksekova district were destroyed between 12.30 p.m. and 1.00 p.m. local time (0930 and 1000GMT), the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.
Turkish jets have been carrying out strikes on PKK positions in Turkey and northern Iraq since the group -- considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign in July last year.
Since then, more than 600 security personnel and many civilians, including women and children, have been martyred and around 7,000 PKK terrorists killed.
