The volume of cargo transshipment via Turkish ports from Bulgaria in the first nine months of 2021 exceeded 2.4 million tons, the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, in the reporting period ships flying the Turkish flag delivered over 1.1 million tons of cargo, and ships flying the flags of other countries – more than 1.3 million tons from Bulgaria to the Turkish ports.
From January through September this year, ships flying the Bulgarian flag delivered 21,000 tons of cargo to the ports, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, over one million tons of cargo from Bulgaria were transited through the Turkish ports, added the ministry.
