Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital up

Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital increased by 26.4 percent and amounted to 8.87 billion Azerbaijani manats in 2016 compared to 2015, said a report issued by the country’s State Statistics Committee as of 2016.

Some 83.1 percent (7.37 billion manats) of foreign investments to Azerbaijan’s economy accounted for the investors from the UK, Turkey, Malaysia, Switzerland, Russia, Iran, the US and Japan.

In 2016, the largest part of foreign investments – 1.2 billion manats – was invested to Azerbaijan’s fixed capital in December, while the smallest part – 544.1 million manats – was invested in May.
