The volume of investments made in Azerbaijan's oil sector in Jan.-June 2015 totaled 3.44 billion Azerbaijani manats, or 15,97 percent more than in the same period of 2014, Azerbaijan's State Statistical Committee said in its report on the first six months of 2015.
The official exchange rate on July 18 is 1.0495 AZN/USD.
During the reporting period, the total volume of investments in Azerbaijan's industrial sector neared 4 billion manats, or 15.3 percent more than in the same period of 2014, according to the report.
Of these funds, 3.47 billion manats were invested in the mining industry, or 18.6 percent more than in the same period of 2014.
Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat in Jan.-June totaled 65.4 million manats, or 54.6 percent less than in the same period of 2014.
