In a report to the planning and budget commission of Iranian parliament (Majlis), Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh put the country's oil export revenues in the previous calendar year (which ended on March 20) at $41.61 billion.

According to Zanganeh, Iran earned some $41.61 billion through exporting crude oil and gas condensates.

Last year, the average price of Iran's heavy and light crude oil was around $104 per barrel in the global markets.

Based on Iran Customs Administration's official report, which was released last week, the country exported $10.295 billion worth of gas condensates in the previous year. Gas condensates are more expensive in comparison to other kinds of crude oil.

A simple calculation shows that Iran exported $31.4 billion worth of crude oil in the previous year.

It is while OPEC's annual reports suggest that Tehran exported around $115 billion worth of oil and gas condensates in 2011.

So, Iran's crude oil exports in the previous year were 2.5 times lower than in 2011.

Western oil sanctions again Iran started as of July 2012. Iran exported 2.2 million barrels of crude oil and 300,000 barrels of gas condensates per day in 2011.

According to the International Energy Agency, the figure dropped to 1.07 million barrels in 2013.

Iran's deputy oil minister, Mansour Mo'azzami, recently said that the country averagely exports 1.4 million barrels of oil and gas condensates.

Iran's IRNA News Agency on April 17 quoted Mo'azzami as saying that based on the budget bill, the government was supposed to export one million barrels of oil and 200,000 barrels of gas condensates in the previous year, but managed to increase the figure by 20 percent. So the country earned around $10 billion more in oil revenues compared to the figure predicted in the budget bill.

The International Energy Agency's reports also suggest that Tehran exported 1.320 million and 1.650 million barrels of oil in January and February, respectively.

But Reuters reported on April 29 that based on the shipping companies' statistics, Iran's crude oil exports once again dropped to one million barrels per day in March and April.
