Primoz Sheligo appointed Slovenian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Uzbekistan with a residence in Moscow delivered the copies of his credentials to Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov for President Karimov on Wednesday, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported today.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects of further development of the Uzbek- Slovenian cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian spheres, including Uzbekistan- EU format.

The sides stressed the need to expand the legal basis of bilateral relations, to support both countries' growing interest in intensifying the mutually beneficial contacts between the state and public organizations, business circles and civil society representatives.

The regional and international issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
