By Fatih Karimov - Trend: More than 72,000 industrial projects are semi-finished in Iran.
Iranian MP Reza Rahmani said that budget deficit is the main problem which has hindered the implementation of the projects, Iran's IRNA news agency reported on November 9.
In December 2013, Mohammad Baqer Nobakht, Iranian vice president for planning and strategic supervision, said the administration has focused on completing semi-finished development projects and will not start new ones.
The administration has not initiated any project since President Hassan Rouhani took office in August, he further said.
We will allocate the lion's share of national development budget to finish the projects which are complete by over 80 percent, he added.
The current year's budget bill has set the national development budget at 380 trillion rials (about $11.8 billion), a 33 percent fall year on year.
The current Iranian solar year started on March 21.
