Iran rejects secrecy in Tehran-IAEA agreement

Iranian vice-president and head of the country's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI), Ali Akbar Salehi underlined that there is no secrecy in recent agreement between Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

"Our agreement with the IAEA is not secret,' Salehi said, Iran's IRNA news agency reported.

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano and Salehi signed a roadmap of cooperation on July 14.

Amano, for his part, said the roadmap calls for his agency, with Iran's cooperation, to make an assessment of issues relating to what is called as possible military dimensions of the Islamic Republic's nuclear program by the end of 2015.

'This is a significant step forward toward clarifying outstanding issues regarding Iran's nuclear program,' Amano said.

The remarks came as Iran and the Group P5+1 (the US, Russia, China, Britain and France plus Germany) are about to declare a sum-up agreement after years of talks.
