Intergovernmental documents have been signed in Ashgabat after talks between Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon, who is on an official visit to the country, an official Turkmen source said.

Among them are an agreement between the Tajik National Bank and the Turkmen Finance Ministry on countering legalization of proceeds from crime and terrorist financing.

In addition, agreements on cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry and between the Academies of Sciences of the two countries have been signed.

The package also includes a cooperation programme between the governments in culture and arts as well as between the foreign ministries.

The signing ceremony ended by signing of a joint statement of the two presidents.

The two sides note the availability of interaction in the fuel and energy complex and transport communications.
